Top Crime Rate and How it Relates
The City Crime Rate Rankings will always be scary. It is especially for those people living in the top cities that have high crime rate, as well as tourist looking to travel to these areas.
From 2010-2011 the top 10 crime risk rankings are below (from highest to lowest):
- St. Louis, MO
- Camden, NJ
- Detroit, MI
- Flint, MI
- Oakland, CA
- Richmond, CA
- Cleveland, OH
- Compton, CA
- Gary, IN
- Birmingham, AL
The list does go on, it doesn’t just stop at #10. We can see that crime doesn’t happen in any particular area, it occurs in every state and everywhere.
Based on FBI figures, crime rate has gone down in the United States. As a security company we start to wonder: Are people becoming nicer? Are their fewer things to steal? or Is the rise of security cameras and technological materials, such as biometric door locks and audit trail kits prohibiting people from conquering bad deeds?
